Tony Walford is an experienced director and senior manager with over 30 years in business. He has lead companies as CEO/MD in the fields of Freight Forwarding, 3rd Party Logistics, Warehousing & Distribution Services and Supply Chain Technology and has served on the B oard of Directors of logistics companies in the UK, USA, Switzerland, India, Russia, China and Jamaica.
Tony now jointly owns and leads Supply Solutions (2009) Ltd an organisation dedicated to developing the capability of professionals working across the functions of the supply chain through providing exceptional learning and development experiences.
In addition to general management his experience in the field includes roles in sales, marketing, global account management, customer service, and operation s management. He has negotiated acquisitions in UK, USA, Russia, Turkey, India, the Middle East and Central Asia.
Tony has cross logistics sector experience having worked within the parcels and express freight sector, international freight forwarding, roa d haulage, warehousing, maritime and port free zone operations.
His career has spanned work with Xerox Corp; where he was responsible for logistics and distribution within the North Africa and Middle East Region – DHL; in Europe, Eastern Europe and Africa - UPS and UPS Supply Chain Solutions; in Europe, East Europe and Africa - MSAS (EXEL) Logistics; leading their UK freight forwarding business - Zim Logistics leading P&L for their global operations, strategic development and M&A strategy - and Uniserve Group where he was Regional Director for Scotland & Ireland.
